My Teaching Style

My intention is to design classes that balance challenge and excitement, ensuring accessibility for yogis at any level. My goal is to empower students by linking breath with movement, fostering a discovery of inner strength and confidence. Emphasizing breath awareness, mindfulness, and the smooth transitions in Vinyasa, I aim to lead students through transformative practices that enhance both physical and mental well-being. My sequences are thoughtfully crafted to unlock the comprehensive benefits of yoga, welcoming all yogis on a path of wellness and self-exploration.

Experience

I started practicing yoga in the spring of 2012 in Grand Rapids, MI. I was invited to try hot yoga by a fellow coworker and the minute I started flowing on the mat, I knew it was something special. I have been practicing vinyasa flow ever since. In April of 2022, I traveled to Costa Rica for my first ever yoga retreat. It transformed my life and after returning, I started practicing yoga every day. I continue to practice daily as I have discovered the power of how practicing every day can have on your physical and mental health.

Why I Love Dragonfly

Dragonfly has been my home away from home. After moving to Madison in the Fall of 2018, I didn't know anyone. The welcoming environment that Dragonfly offered and the sense of community that it encourages offered me friendship and connection.
I love the variety of classes Dragonfly has to offer. Whether I need a physical and mental challenge or time to slow down, there are so many options available.

I am originally from Grand Rapids, MI and have a mini Goldendoodle name Griffey.
