This hot class (105 degrees) offers time to embrace aspects of yoga at a pace that encourages awareness of the connections of mind, body and spirit. Class begins gradually, allowing the body to acclimate to the heat and quiet the mind. The combination of asana (finding and holding poses), pranayama (focused breathing) and vinyasa (moving with breath) deepens the practice and offers time to refine your body’s unique version of each pose. Research shows that practicing in higher heat increases the feel good neurotransmitters (endorphins) in the brain and blood flow which can boost mood as well as reduce tension and stress.
