Yoga Nidra, or “Yogic Sleep” is an ancient technique where the practitioner is guided into a deep state of conscious relaxation, shifting awareness from our external world to our inner world. In this state where the body, our senses and intellect relax, the body enters into healing, leading to the sensation of harmonious, restful being.
In order to prepare the body for Yoga Nidra, which is practiced in Savasana (Corpse Pose), there will be some light somatic movement and breath work to start.
Yoga Nidra has been shown to help with chronic fatigue, poor concentration, poor sleep, hyper-tension, stress, anxiety, and depression and is accessible to anyone even if you consider yourself somewhat new to yoga.
