How did you get started at Dfly?
I started by trying out a few classes a week during the winter and like most people, I was hooked! I have a physically demanding job (I own my own dog training business (KANE9 Dog Training & Advocacy)!) and also strength training, so adding in Dragonfly has been such a nice mix of mobility work, mindset work and cardiovascular health with the more fitness style classes!
What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly?
When we lived in Maine, I did many barre classes and loved it, but hot yoga and hot fitness style classes were new to me!
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
The feeling AFTER class sometimes the struggle to mentally commit or physically is hard at the beginning of class, but once I get into the rhythm and after class I am always so happy I went. It makes me feel so rejuvenated and balanced! I also love being around all of the other yogis working hard and being strong as a community!!
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
It has helped me enhance my mind and body connection. I feel like I utilize that so much in my life already, but Dragonfly classes have helped me take things to the next level.
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
At least a couple times a week and I can’t pick just one favorite class! My top 3: Saturday AM flow and lift with Emerson! She is such an amazing instructor and her playlists with the moves are 10/10! Thursday evening Slow flow & Meditation with Tammy is exactly what my soul needs! Tammy’s presence and voice is so impactful and calming. Friday afternoon Yoga Up with Lauren is the challenge I need to get my weekend started on the right foot! I show up knowing nothing about her class will be easy, but it will be empowering! Her playlists are also fire!
Please feel free to share any other thoughts you have about Dfly, hot yoga, or your life as we would love to know more about you.
Adding Dragonfly classes and the community into my routine has been so amazing! I focus so heavily on the mindset of dogs and their humans, that it’s only right that I do the same for myself and DF helps me do that!
Instructor Tammy Holton Arnol: “Kaitlin is as at home in Yoga Up as she is in Slow Flow and Meditation, embodying Dragonfly’s philosophy that every class is for Every Body. Whatever the challenge, Kaitlin is up for it, and always with a warm smile. It has been a pleasure to get to know Kaitlin. Not only do I enjoy having her in classes that I lead, it’s been fun to participate in other classes with her. As an athlete, intentional person and young entrepreneur she’s an inspiration.”
