My Teaching Style

This is your time to enjoy fitness and get into the mindset of, “I am doing this.” I am here to encourage and inspire your fitness journey, no matter what level you are at. I build upon an encouraging environment for my clients. I like to change up routine, while allowing clients to go at their own pace. I feel it’s great to be on a journey together.

Experience

I have always enjoyed fitness and staying active. I enjoy hiking and walking trails, Barre fitness, and using my own cardio equipment at home. I have past experience teaching aerobics and gymnastics. My Dragonfly journey started with a search for places around Madison, WI offering Barre classes. I was so excited to find Dragonfly offers Barre classes, and hot yoga, amongst many fitness options to choose from. For me personally, I sook out Barre classes for the overall body stretching, strengthening, high intensity workout that it has to offer. Barre keeps me moving and offers variations that complete a great workout –strengthening body and mind! Barre 45 and Barre Cardio are my favorite classes.

Favorite Pose

Foldover at the Barre – foldover at 45 degrees really challenges our form, while targeting the glutes, hamstrings, and deep back muscles (erector spine). The pose requires focus and many variations. I can feel every aspect of the workout, every time. It’s such a great feeling to “feel it”!

Favorite Quote

“If you stumble, make it part of your dance.”

Why I Love Dragonfly

Dragonfly is such an amazing space to join in on wherever you are in your fitness journey. I always feel comfortable showing up and focusing on me time with fitness. All it took was showing up! Encouragement has always been provided, and I get what I want out of my continued fitness journey — thanks to Dragonfly!

Little Known Fact About Me

I raced bicycle motocross/BMX bikes for a few years. Both of my brothers talked me into racing bikes. At the time, there weren’t enough girls signing up to have a BMX class for girls to race, so I mostly did it to help support the raceway being able to have a Powder Puff class for racing. Powder Puff was the name given to the all-girls class for BMX racing.
