How did you get started at Dfly?
Dragonfly came to me post pandemic as a handy dandy studio with lots of class options and three locations equidistant from home.

What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly?
I’ve been practicing yoga since I had my first daughter 30 years ago. I’ve taken classes all over town in other cities and even other countries. I am a certified yoga teacher who has never had the intention of teaching yoga. I studied the practice for personal growth and because I love learning.

What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I love the diverse selection of both classes and instructors. I love that Dragonfly is always certifying new teachers and offering more classes. It’s great to know that if space opens in my day, I can open the app and swing into one of the studios to practice.

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
I am happy, healthy and free as long as I am keeping my yoga practice to 3-4 times a week. When I slip due to a busy schedule, I feel it right smack in my mental, spiritual and physical health.

How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
I try to make it 3-4 times a week though I aspire to making it 4-5 times a week. Maybe someday! There are lots of teachers I love but too many to list! Voice matters a lot to me. I love when a teacher takes care to instruct in an authentic, natural way from the core of who they are. I also love when an instructor interacts with the class – if even just a bit.

Please feel free to share any other thoughts you have about Dfly, hot yoga, or your life as we would love to know more about you.
I created and am Executive Director of a nonprofit organization called Root 2 Rise. Our mission is to support the development of students and future leaders who are positioned to root into their communities in self-empowerment in order to rise above their circumstances to make a difference for themselves, their K-5 peers, their families, and our communities. It’s about building one another up right here so multiple pairs of two people rise. Please check us out at root2rise.org
