How did you get started at Dfly?
My first experience at Dragonfly was trying one of the trial memberships. I was so eager to go as much as possible and try the variety of class options. I was a punch card member for many years but now with the opening of the Verona club and the amount I frequent, having the membership with unlimited classes is perfect!
What was your yoga/Barre experience before Dfly?
Prior to Dragonfly opening I dabbled in yoga at another studio that location wise was a hike for me but hot yoga was just becoming popular in the Madison area. Heated yoga classes, holding poses for what seems like forever, made me feel so much stronger and reduced my stress. It was invigorating!
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I enjoy the energy of each class I take. Not only from the teachers, music, workout but also from others on their mats. I feel I can try to push myself with one more star jump or burpee with the energy in the room.
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Taking classes and being consistent with it I feel I have become stronger and more energized.
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
My current goal is attending 4-5 classes a week. I would love for it to be more but kid activities can interfere. My go-to classes are Power up, Yoga up, Circuit up and Lift & Flow… I can’t choose a favorite but it certainly helps to mix up my week with the variety of options.

Being a mom of two girls that has felt that “mom guilt” in the past and skipped my workout to be with them. I have learned over time (and as they have gotten older) that for me to be the best for them is to be healthy and happy. With that anytime I am leaving for a class or the gym and they question or whine that I am leaving, I tell them “Mom is going to workout to be healthy for you”. I am so looking forward to a few years from now when my oldest daughter can come join me in class. We will see who has a better burpee ;)
