How did you get started at Dfly?
My husband bought me a membership for Christmas 2017. I had always wanted to try hot yoga and thought it would be a great way to de-stress and practice my mindfulness, as well as do something good for my body.
What is/was your yoga/BarreAmped experience before Dfly?
Before Dragonfly I had only taken one hot yoga class and did not enjoy it at all! I hadn’t had a consistent exercise routine in several years because I couldn’t find something that I enjoyed or could commit to long term.
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I like the variety of classes available at Dfly. I had always thought yoga was just the traditional “Flow” class, but it is so much more, and there are options for everybody.
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Dragonfly has changed my life. Overall, I have become a stronger person, both physically and mentally. I have applied a lot of what I have learned in the studio to my own classroom. I try to teach my students to be patient with themselves and one another, that it is important to always do your personal best, to try new things and take risks, and to slow down and be in the moment, all things that I have learned through yoga.
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
I like to attend the morning classes at the Downtown studio. Starting my morning with yoga sets a positive tone for the day ahead! My favorite class is Monday morning Power Up with Brooklyn. Her class has such positive energy and she has a way of making everyone feel welcome and good about themselves
