I remember attending a morning Yin class with Kelly Perna a couple years ago, knowing the first class was free. Spoiler alert: I really liked it!
I didn’t have much yoga experience before Dfly. I took a semester-long beginners class at MATC to fufill a PhyEd requirement, which is what originally got me interested in it, but didn’t find Dfly until years later.
I really appreciate the focus Dfly instructors have on listening to your own body and moving into postures that serve you, even if it’s completely different from what they’re calling out to the rest of the class. The cool scented towels we get at the end of aromatherapy classes are pretty great too!
I’ve definitely experienced a positive change in my overall well-being since starting a consistent practice. I have more patience and focus, and overall less pain/tension in my hips, neck, and back doing day-to-day tasks, which helps keep me in a good mood.
I try to make it to at least 8 classes per week, but occasionally I make it to as many as 10. I love starting and ending my work days with a class, especially Yin. There are so many fantastic instructors at Dfly, but my favorite class has to be Yin and Meditation on Saturdays. 75 minutes of pure bliss!
