How did you get started at Dfly?
My friend, Ashley Bruckner who is a Yoga-Up instructor, bugged me for a year to give DFLY a try. I did and I was hooked.
What is/was your yoga/barreamped experience before Dfly?
I had tried yoga a long time ago, wasn’t for me at the time. After trying it again I realized it was all about timing. I had 2 young girls at home at the time and couldn’t truly come to my mat and forget about everything going on in my day to benefit from the practice. Funny thing is, yoga was probably what I really needed back then!!
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
The cool towels scented with essential oils! I once heard someone call it “yoga candy.” I love the instructors with great inspirational quotes they leave you with for the day and fun loud music in the Yoga Up classes to keep you motivated. The Sun Prairie studio has been my home base for awhile but I love that there are 3 more locations so I never have an excuse not to be able to attend a class.
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
I’m much more committed to going regularly, which is key to it all! Exercising should be a commitment for the rest of your life. I use to work out in my basement, no comparison to the Dfly studios. I’ll never go back to that.
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
During the summer a lot! I love the 99 day summer challenge. I always sign up for the 60 day challenge. I love the sweatshirt!! Favorite class? Hmmmmmm that’s tough… I like them all. Well, maybe Yoga Up I have a love/hate relationship, especially the 60 min classes.
