How did you get started at Dfly?
I first attended some Dragonfly classes in my undergrad back in 2016, when I was trying to find something to fill the void as my time as a competitive figure skater came to an end. I absolutely fell in love with yoga and even hoped to become an instructor one day. It wasn’t until I finished my graduate degree that I created a consistent schedule here at Dragonfly. Now, the days are few and far between that I am not at Dragonfly!
What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly? What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I had some yoga experience in my off-ice training as well as some yoga classes online here and there that I would do at home but nothing like Dragonfly. Everything! I love the variety of classes offered to allow for some diversity in my daily exercise, I love the heat, the instructors, the community & the social aspect- to be able to attend classes with friends.
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
I have noticed that both my mental and physical well-being have been positively impacted since keeping a consistent schedule. Dragonfly allows me to balance my mood, provide intimate time with myself on my mat to reflect, burn off steam, find inner peace and challenge myself. I believe that attending Dragonfly classes has allowed me to show up as my best self in my life both on and off my mat.
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
I try to attend a class every day. I recently achieved 100 days in a row at Dragonfly, yay! I truly believe that a dragonfly class a day keeps my mind, body and soul balanced. A favorite class is hard to narrow down, I appreciate attending a lot of different classes to challenge my body in a variety of ways. Some of my regularly attended classes would be Power Up, Yoga Up, CardioBarre, Flow, Power Flow & Flow and Lift. I would have to say my all-time favorite class would have to be Flow & Lift 60 because it challenges my body in unique ways & starts my weekend off in the best way.
Please feel free to share any other thoughts you have about Dfly, hot yoga, or your life as we would love to know more about you.
I am grateful to have found such an overwhelmingly uplifting, fun and inspiring community with such encouraging instructors! I am excited to continue my journey of being my healthiest self & happy Dragonfly is a part of that journey. If I am not at Dragonfly on my mat, you can most likely find me walking my 3 big dogs Millie, Tundra & Mabel with my soon to be hubby.
Instructor Taytum Geier: “Miranda always walks into dragonfly with a smiling face. Whether it’s 6:30 am or 5:30pm, she comes in ready to go. During the cold winter months, Miranda came to dragonfly 100 days in a row – talk about commitment! I am super amazed and proud of Miranda for showing up day in and day out. We love having her part of the dragonfly community!”
