How did you get started at Dfly?
Honestly… I don’t remember… seemed like a good idea at the time and here I still am!
What was your yoga/BarreAmped experience before Dfly?
Do yoga videos count? And that one always-smiling, religious studies teacher in college who smelled like patchouli?
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I enjoy the community atmosphere and the fact that Dfly is a warm and inviting place to come to (literally and figuratively)! The instructors are friendly and supportive!
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
I started Dfly in order to have a consistent, year-round, physical practice that would support my other hobbies and general well-being. It has done exactly that! The first bike ride in the Spring (or after any gap really) no longer leaves me hurting everywhere (used to really dread that!). Riding horses requires a strong core, general limberness, and a well-developed sense of body awareness. Dfly classes have supported and strengthened all of those things and enable me to be a more confident rider. And on an emotional level, the opportunity to step away from the rest of life a few times a week and just decompress is so restorative!
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
I generally attend 3-4 classes per week. My favorite class really depends on how I am feeling. and what I need. Mostly I like that the classes are varied enough that anything from slow flow to yoga up will give me what I need that particular week. I am patiently waiting for Barre classes to return to the Sun Prairie studio!
