Jay was looking for an activity to compliment his cycling and some of his cycling friends mentioned that yoga was a great way to increase core strength and flexibility. This led Jay to Dragonfly to get more information on classes as Yoga was something new for him.
Jay: I have absolutely NO previous yoga experience. It took me about a month after stopping by for information before I finally worked up the nerve to sign up for a class. It can be a little intimidating for a guy initially but that goes away after 1 or 2 visits. The entire staff at Dragonfly has been wonderfully accommodating and inspiring.
I really get a great feeling of accomplishment and calmness with each class. It’s a great way to experience increased flexibility, strength and peace of mind all rolled up in one hour of warmth.
I have definitely experienced an increase in my core, arm and leg strength as well as positive changes in balance and flexibility. I also now have the ability to actually close my eyes, relax and take in positive thoughts to help me calm my mind.
I strive to attend class at least 5 times each week, I would say my favorite class is Flow.
Taking classes at Dragonfly has certainly exceeded all of my expectations and I am thrilled that I finally made the decision to give it a try. The staff and facility are nothing short of exceptional. I’m looking forward to experiencing the benefits of taking hot yoga while cycling this coming season.
